About Kinetic West

Kinetic West is a social impact consulting firm that works with non-profits, businesses, government, community partners, and funders to solve their toughest challenges because we believe that working as one is the only way to create just, equitable, and prosperous communities. We work across sectors to build a common purpose and get big things done in our communities. Our office is located in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle.

About the Senior Consultant Role

Kinetic West is looking to hire a full-time Senior Consultant (SC) to join our growing team of socially-minded problem solvers. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that SCs come into the office as needed, typically 2-3 times per week.

Senior Consultants play an important role in the work of Kinetic West, working in partnership with Consulting Managers and Principals to execute projects for our clients. SCs conduct research, craft presentations and materials, support the execution of project timelines, and engage with clients and partners.

Senior Consultants spend most of their time on project work (i.e., external work helping clients solve problems), but may also support internal projects on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities will vary project to project and day to day but will include:

Project Work

  • Problem-solving: Supporting and collaborating with clients and Kinetic West team members to succinctly frame problems, generate new insights, and develop actionable solutions tailored to the unique needs of each project

  • Workstream delivery: Drafting and implementing plans for assigned workstreams, following timelines, engaging with collaborators, iterating based on feedback

  • Research: Including desk research, as well as collection and analysis of primary and secondary data (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods)

  • Be able to focus on the small but critical aspects of a project, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in every task

  • Be inquisitive or curious - open and able to work in new sectors and in new subject areas
